- Summary:
- Designing machines for maximum efficiency can reduce energy consumption and decrease operating costs as well as the size and cost of their components. The focus of this paper will be to evaluate a machine's duty cycle in order to choose proper power saving components and methods of control. A power consumption comparison will be demonstrated between similar machine circuits that utilize different control options. This comparative data will be viewed showing a direct relationship to cost savings. Fixed and variable displacement pumps, 2- and 3-port compensators, pump controls and combinations thereof will be topics of discussion
