Summary:
Voice processing technologies are key elements in modern automotive communication systems. Cellular phones, voice links to car operating systems, and in-car computing networks will require advanced microphones to achieve the desired performance levels. These types of microphones allow the driver to communicate in a hands-free mode, adding safety and comfort to driving a car.Directivity, frequency response, vibration isolation and other parameters need to be optimized for the human voice within the noise and sound floor levels of today's driving environment. Both theoretical calculations and on-vehicle testing are necessary to position the microphone perfectly to deal with the complex acoustic patterns found inside a car
