Summary:
The growth of wireless-enabled transportation continues at a high rate as the pervasive use of technology grows. Also, more importantly, the users must understand the advantages of asset management using real time data. Wireless technology will allow simplified service, maintenance, and vehicle management. Value will be generated from the application of the wireless technology to solve vehicle management problems, whether service, operation, or diagnostic related.Unfortunately, for the vehicle system developers, manufacturers and the end customer, it is increasingly difficult to select which method of mobile connectivity is best for a given industry. This paper presents an outline for helping managers answer this question and how they can best use wireless technology for their given situation
