Summary:

The chance of success on automotive components and systems launches can be greatly improved by using proper project planning and execution methods. This paper assesses some of these methods by discussing the basics on project management techniques focused on results and proposes practices for targeting such flawless launches - projects which achieve the company and customer established goals and focus on exceeding the desired quality, related either to objective and/or subjective attributes (that aspects not covered by specifications or standards, but which are desired by the customer).
