Summary:
Determining the fatigue behavior of steel material through the utilization of specimens in normalized experimental tests is becoming more and more accessible. Implement fatigue tests of relatively rigid steel wires for another hand usually presents technological problems, as the tendency of breaking inside or very near the grips for tension-tension tests, resulting in false results. Alternatively is possible to impose flexural fatigue through the utilization of another conception of fatigue test device. This device takes advantage of the peculiar form of relatively rigid wires to impose pure bending loading in order to promote a completely alternating stresses without grip problems. Device conception, theoretical basis and how to obtain SN curves using it are fully explained
