Summary:
This paper presents development of the fuel tank sloshing noise performance. Sloshing noise is one of the most important factors in fuel tank development. Since the quantitative design method and the absolute effective measure for the fuel tank sloshing noise are not established yet, significant amount of time is spent to confirm the sloshing noise performance by testing a vehicle. To be able to estimate the performance at design phase, firstly we need to clear the mechanism of the sloshing noise. In this paper, we confirm the correlation of the sloshing noise performance and the main factors related to the sloshing noise. As a result, it becomes possible to estimate the sloshing noise performance and confirm the performance by using simulation for each factor at early design phase. Because we also can conduct a quantitative analysis, we will be able to specify good performance more quickly. So, we expect that this method can make a contribution to the shortening of the development time for a fuel tank
