Summary:

This study is about the application of Value Engineering in order to increase the new parts supplier definition process of an automotive company. The stages of this process were analyzed and classified to determine how should be performed. New ideas were listed to improve the process and classified according to a variant of the FIRE method of evaluation that was suggested by the author of this study. In the timing sample survey of each performed function, was found out that the initials ones were in a lower level of the requested causing the increase of timing for the intermediate functions
