Summary:
We have demonstrated high efficiency of the chemiluminescence (ChL) level determination of Daphnia exometabolites at the control of total toxicity of environment. For the realization of this approach it was developed special devices: stationary and portable. In both devices luminescent light (in visible spectrum) is projected on the opening of the highly sensitive photodetector. Then the signal is amplified and delivered to the recording device. The use of an analog to digital converter allows signal to be transferred to a computer for manipulation and archiving. The proposed method was used for estimation of natural and effluent water toxicity, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, toxic solutions, water-plants, and gas-air mixtures. It was demonstrated high efficiency of both designed devices at the determination of luminescence of Daphnia living medium and at the estimation of bioluminescence of such microorganisms as Photobacterium phosphoreum K3 (IMB B-7071), Vibrio fischeri F1 (IMB B-7070) and Vibrio fischeri Sh1 purified from Black sea and used for the control of total toxicity of environmental objects. Now these devices are examined for application in space conditions
