Summary:
This paper will present the preliminary conceptual design of a modular habitation module for lunar exploration. The unit, named BLU (Basic Lunar Unit), will respond to the minimum requirements for a crew of three people, living on the Moon for one month.BLU is a self-standing modular multipurpose system conceived for the construction of outposts progressively growing in size from a small single unit shelter to a large permanent Moon base. This is achieved by multiple assembling of several BLU elements
