- Summary:
- This paper proposes an approach for the design of an Aero-Elastic (ASE) filter, which attenuates vibration-induced signals. If extraneous signals are within the control system bandwidth of an aerospace system it may degrade control system performance. Much work in developing adaptive filters has been accomplished recently as more systems become lighter and more flexible. The more flexible systems have lower primary frequency modes that may be within a typical control system bandwidth. If these flexible vibration modes are attenuated by the control system the system becomes much less agile. In order to maintain control system bandwidth in a higher range a more intelligent filter must attenuate the extraneous signals
