Summary:
The objective of this paper is to provide a graphically plotted hydromount parametric result therefore it can be used as a tool in hydromount development process-trouble shooting. Starting from a brief literature review, a hydromount model is introduced. The parameters affecting the dynamic characteristics are identified. Those parameters, static stiffness, volumetric stiffness, equivalent piston area, inertia track length, inertia track cross-sectional area and fluid density, may be related to each other as the change of one parameter may inevitably result in another parameter change. However, this paper assumes that all the parameters are independent. The results show that the increase of parameters of static stiffness, volumetric stiffness, inertia track cross-sectional area, inertia track length and fluid density result in the increase of the dynamic stiffness. But the dynamic stiffness decreases when the equivalent piston area increases. For the loss angle, it increases when parameters of volumetric stiffness, inertia track cross-sectional area, inertia track length and fluid density increase respectively. It decreases when increasing static stiffness and equivalent piston area. To demonstrate the usefulness of this study, two troubleshooting cases are presented
