Summary:
Longitudinal seat adjustment in the Automotive Industry is generally accomplished with slides comprising of lower tracks, upper tracks and a combination of ball bearings and/or rollers. OEM specifications require the slides to provide low sliding efforts in loaded or unloaded conditions while maintaining acceptable stability / rigidity performances.This paper describes a Universal Track profile developed by Dura Automotive Systems that utilizes only one size ball with one size track and is capable of meeting these specifications
