- Summary:
- AMI-C (Automotive Multimedia Interface Collaboration) contains an HMI specification to make it easier for multimedia devices to work in different vehicle brands, makes and models, in harmony with each vehicle's HMI. A key concept of the specification that enables this capability is a "content-based" approach to HMI. In this approach, the multi-media device sends its content (pages) to be presented to an OEM-specified "HMI Manager." The HMI Manager, in turn, formats the content into the form appropriate for a given vehicle model's displays and User Interface Markup Languagei) that is used to communicate between the HMI Manager and the AMI-C compliant device
