Notes:
Issued in monthly parts by Chapman and Hall in a new series of the complete edition of Charles Dickens known as the Household edition. Reset in large type on a quarto page, the series was furnished with entirely new illustrations by a fresh set of artists. The series could also be purchased as penny numbers and bound volumes.
Printer statement on verso of title page.
Series statement from the spine edge of the individual penny numbers.
The parts were originally covered with blue paper covers and stab-bound to hold together the individual numbers. The penny numbers are numbered 68-96 on the first page of each number. Printed in two columns with illustrations placed in the center of the pages. There are three full-page illustrations.
