Proposing the establishment of an academy in Philadelphia. The proposed school was established as the Charity School, but before any classes were held was rechartered in 1751 as the Academy and Charitable School of Philadelphia in the Province of Pennsylvania.
Attributed to Benjamin Franklin and ascribed to the press of Franklin and Hall by Miller.
