Henri de Tonti denied authorship, although the work is apparently based on a narrative written by him. Cf. Sabin; Chalevoix, P.F.X. Histoire ... de la Nouvelle France, 1744, II, 260.
"A relation of a voyage made by the Sieur de Montauban" is on 44 p. at end; it is a translation of "Relation du voyage du Sieur de Montauban, captaine des flibustiers, en Guinée en l'année 1695" and has separate dated title page and pagination; register is continuous.
Identified as Wing T1890 on UMI microfilm set "Early English books, 1641-1700", reel 440.
