MS table of contents on verso of half-title in William Temple Franklin's hand; Franklin's (?) attribution to Pownall on title; purchased from Dufief, 1801- 03, by Col. William Duane; sold by him in 1822 to the Athenaeum of Philadelphia (106); sold in turn by it, 22 December 1885, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.
