Dufief to Thomas Jefferson, 22 October 1801, mentioning books from Franklin's library he might be interested in purchasing, lists several titles, including "[Lords' Protests] during the Amer. war do. [neatl bd in calf ] 1 [dollar]" (Eddy [1924], p. 211); purchased from Dufief, 1801-03, by Col. William Duane; sold by him in 1822 to the Athenaeum of Philadelphia (41); sold in turn by it, 22 December 1885, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.
