Consists of 16 p. from an unidentified encyclopedia (possibly Diderot's Encyclopédie, ou, Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers); French text is for entries from HUL-HYS and is primarily a description of the hygrometer and associated discipline hygrometry.

"Supplement Tome III" appears at foot of page 697. Supplement (Tome III) of Diderot's Encyclopédie was issued in 1777.
