- Title page to the second sermon reads: The latter sign discoursed of, in a sermon preached at the lectures of Boston in New-England ... wherein is shewed, that the voice of God ... ought to be hearkened unto / by Increase Mather; this work also issued separately (Wing M1218)
- Leaf G3v in two states: 1) last line begins "the Turks", or 2) text "(I do not remember that I have read the like of any comet)" is inserted preceding last line, and last line begins "whence the Turks".
- Two states of the imprint to "Heaven's alarm to the world" noted. The first reads "by John Browning" while the second is corrected to "by Joseph Browning".
- According to T.J. Holmes, some copies have an errata slip on K7v.
- Signatures: A⁸(-A1) B-K⁸ (K7 verso, K8 blank); A-E⁸.
