- "46. Gedruckt und publicirt im Jahr, da wahre Buss von Nöthen war. 1783. 47. Und weil's richtig gut erkant war, wurd's neugedruckt in diesem Jahr. 1825"--"Colophon" on p. [7]. The 1783 ed. appeared as a broadside, without place of publication or name of publisher; cf. Evans 18041.
- On p. [8], three ill.: cherub design, with printed signature: Durouchail f. ; house flanked by trees; and stylized ill. of children reading. Durouchail was almost certainly the French wood-engraver Pierre Durouchail, who designed type ornaments; cf. BN Inventaire du fonds français après 1800, VII, p. 262-263.
