Pages 25-29 contain the 'Minutes and proceedings of the joint-meeting.' That meeting concerned the resignation of the Governor, William Paterson, following his acceptance of the office of Justice in the Supreme Court.
Evans, who saw no copy, records the journal of the seventeenth session of the Legislative Council in a single entry. In fact, it was issued in two parts, of which this is the second.
