- "Richard Saunders" is a pseudonym.
- The calculator was Abraham Shoemaker. The calculations and astronomical notes on the calendar pages, apart from some misprints, are identical with those in the New Jersey almanack for 1795 (Trenton), by Shoemaker. There are fewer columns of calculations, and many added notes for the length of day. Shoemaker's eclipse predictions are repeated on p. [30].
