- Notes:
- Cover title: Neu-verbesserter nord-americanischer Calender. 1783.
- Isaac Briggs, then a tutor at Pennsylvania College, was the calculator for all the Pennsylvania almanacs for 1783. All have the same calculations and astronomical notes on their calendar pages, with additions and some omissions, as the Nord-americanische Calender, which alone names a real person as its author.
- Samuel Stearns, the Massachusetts calculator, in his The American Oracle (1791) p. 44, says: "I observed at Philadelphia, in 1783, that a number of almanacks were published from one calculation, under fictitious names, as Father Abraham, Poor Will, Poor Richard, &c.; but could not learn who was the author." - Evans gives author's name on title page erroneously as Anthony Sharp, and supposes David Rittenhouse to be the actual author.
