- "The text type for Kinnikinnick brand kickapoo joy-juice is Narrow Bembo, a rarely seen chancery cursive created in 1929 by English calligrapher Alfred Fairbank. The title display face designed by Eric Gill is Gill Sans Bold cast at the at the Skaneateles Letterfoundry and Press of Michael and Winifred Bixler. Designed and letterpress printed on 100 pound dulcet by Sandra Liddell Reese. Bound by hand at the Turkey Press Studio in sewn-boards covered with white and terracotta paper handmade from raw flax cooked in lime at the University of Iowa Center for the Book, Oakdale Campus Paper Facility"--Colophon.

- Issued hard-bound in thick boards covered with deep red and cream paper; title letterpress-printed on the spine paper over larger letterpress-printed letters of the author's name which register as lines; small enameled drawing of a detail of Kilpeck Church by John Furnival inset on upper cover; drawings throughout appear enameled in yellow.
