In 1905, when Japan defeated Russia, the Japanese were not only considered "white in Asia" but also took over Korea in the summer of 1905 under the Portsmouth Treaty. Korea was not invited to the position. Even though it was a place to decide the future of the country. It was the moment when Korea's sovereignty hit the ground.
