- Summary:
- A murder suspect's DNA is shown to be identical to the murderer's DNA. The prosecutor is sure that as the chance of an innocent person's DNA being identical to the actual criminal's is less than one in a million, meaning the odds that the suspect is guilty should be about 99.9999%. To the contrary, the defense argued that if the chance of two people's DNA being identical is one in a million, then there are 7,000 people in the world with the same DNA as the criminal since the world.
