He is currently an Associate Professor of Radiology, having authored or co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed academic research and educational articles. Dr. Lehman's clinical practice focuses on innovative advanced imaging techniques and interventions, including minimally invasive MRI-guided neurointerventional/neurosurgical procedures in the brain, including MRI-guided focused ultrasound and laser interstitial thermal ablation. For these procedures, he works side-by-side with the Mayo Clinic neurosurgical faculty and trainees. On the innovation side, he spearheaded the first focused ultrasound program for refractory facet joint pain in the Unites States and established the intracranial vessel wall imaging program at Mayo Clinic. He is active in several radiology and interventional pain management professional societies, including serving frequently on key committees (educational, research, evidence-based medicine, meeting planning). He is frequently invited to speak at national and international venues. In his personal life, he is the proud spouse of an accomplished Mayo Clinic physician in dermatology/dermatopathology and enjoys raising their two daughters.
