A collection (compiled by Historical Society of Pennsylvania [HSP] Librarian Emeritus, Dr. Lee Arnold) composed of information about the history of the Philadelphia LGBT community. The Philly Pride Visitor Center is, in part, sponsored by the Philadelphia Visitors Center [PVC]. From the PVC website: "Philadelphia is more than a destination; it's a community. Come see how we celebrate! Get ready! In 2026 Philadelphia is making history again. The Philly Pride Visitor Center is opening its doors, set to be one of America's first visitor centers dedicated to welcoming LGBTQ+ travelers and allies! Located right in the heart of the vibrant Gayborhood at 12th & Locust, this exciting new space will be LGBTQ+ travelers' Philly hub. Guests can learn about Philadelphia's pioneering role in the fight for equal rights while accessing essential resources like maps, itinerary planning, and a curated introduction to the best queer and queer-friendly experiences across the City and the Commonwealth of PA."
