- Summary:
- Narrated in the first person, the novel intersperses accounts of a high-voltage sexual routine with memories of the protagonist's youth, in which the seeds of the political paranoia that strikes again in her domestic confinement were already planted. In addition to the intimate stories, there are literary experiments, which Ana tries to fit into the subject she has to teach. Anthropomorphized animals loaded with symbolism populate the short stories that she, in a state of mental liquidation, deems worthy of being included in the course syllabus, while her colleagues warn her of the dangers of going against the current in politically dark times.
