This small book contains a list of the 472 volumes in what was likely a social library in Wayne, Ohio, a village in the northwest part of the state a few miles from Bowling Green. The catalog lists titles only, listing them in numerical order. What seems like an arbitrary list upon closer inspection is organized, perhaps according to the books as they were on the shelves. This catalog groups the books topically, showing categories such as history, travel and exploration, science and natural history, poetry and literature, and government and political works. It is interesting to see not only the holdings of a library, but also perhaps how the books were organized.
