Summary:
The case invites students to use self-reflexivity, critical reflexivity, and reciprocity to make choices about the practice dilemmas that Amy, an Organizational Development Lead in a large organization, faces. Amy supports individuals and teams to improve their working relationships using her coaching skills, and faces challenges in developing and maintaining trust in a coaching relationship with a team manager. The case shares her reflexive practices for interpreting how trust is built or eroded in and around the coaching relationship. Students are invited to analyze and evaluate the case for reflexive and reciprocal practices to underpin trust in future coaching relationships, taking account of the practice context and its inherent dynamics. The case develops students' self and critical reflexivity to make ethical choices in relation to coaching practice dilemmas.
