Summary:
This case study examines organizational culture in the health sector of Pakistan. This is an intrinsic case study used to understand the current organizational culture in the public hospitals of Pakistan, where self-interest to do private practice impairs the altruistic notion of public service motivation. Additionally, this case study examines an example of negligence and behavioral issues among healthcare workers, including doctors, consultants, nursing staff, and management. The case uses the 7-S Framework to analyze the underlying issues that led to the presenting problems-unethical practices and lack of accountability.
