Summary:
The Rupaboi houseboat is situated in Tanguar Haor, one of the largest natural lakes in Bangladesh. The Rupaboi company was established in 2009 and started commercial operations in 2014. The founders formed a partnership venture that consisted of four individuals who shared a strong enthusiasm for exploration and daring experiences. The houseboat is designed for overnight stays and can accommodate a maximum of 15 people. Rupaboi offers an all-inclusive package comprising meals, sightseeing, a boatman, and a chef. Initially, the focus of the owners was on a limited target market of adventurous tourists with secure financial backgrounds. The owners faced several challenges to their business operations, including competition, sustainability, minimal public awareness, inadequate communication infrastructure in Bangladesh, and adverse weather conditions. At present, the primary challenge confronting the firm is sustainability. Rupaboi now aims to prioritize affluent customers. Students will be asked to provide an overview of the key elements regarding consumer profiling in the context of the Rupaboi business, to explain the difficulties encountered in this process, and to articulate the anticipated risks associated with the business.
