- Summary:
- Jay has a final stage interview with Gasoline Grill's founding CEO, Klaus Wittrup, for a role in strategic business analysis. It is late in 2023 and they have been invited to make a short presentation that addresses four questions, namely the strategy 3Cs (customer, competition, and company) and "where next?" for the Copenhagen-based burger restaurant. Jay's research must also help them understand and evaluate their own potential fit within the 2016-founded business. This armchair business case study uses the mechanic of an imagined, but realistic, interview preparation process to provide a succinct overview of the successful firm, its customers, and the competitive context using creative desktop research. By analysing the 3Cs data, students are invited to make justified recommendations on how to take the Gasoline Grill enterprise forwards. The web-centered analysis assesses competitor benchmarking and customer insight, both drawn from social media platforms. The case would ideally fit within strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, digital marketing, consultancy, international marketing, and professional development modules at both under- and post-graduate levels.
