The inspiration for the study titled “Motifs on Historical Objects and Buildings in Hakkari” is women who are involved in work life in Hakkari. The questions of what we can do as motifs on the products made by these women in the cooperatives they established led me to conduct this research. At the same time, the aim of the study is to contribute to the literature by examining the motifs on buildings and objects that show the rich history of the city. Within the scope of the research, motifs that can be documented throughout the city were examined and their drawings were made. During the research and the process of turning it into a book, I would like to thank Hakkari University, Van Museum, Archaeologist Fatih Arap, Lecturer Gülçin Kaya, Erkan Keçeci, Hamit Kaya, the people of Hakkari who did not refrain from helping and my family who did not refrain from supporting. It is thought that my study will contribute to the city of Hakkari, to researchers who want to do study on the subject, and to the relevant literature. I hope that the motifs and patterns obtained as a result of this study will contribute to the city's economy, especially to women in work life. This study was produced from the project titled “Examination of Motifs and Patterns in Historical Objects and Buildings in Hakkari” numbered SB24BAP1 of Hakkari University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Office.
