Summary:
In Series Episode 5, Rick Pettigrew reviews and interprets the visual evidence found in the series of aerial photographs shot by the New Zealand military on Nikumaroro in 1938. In this series of pictures, two images, one with a view to the south and another oriented to the north, appear to show the same bright object in the lagoon alongside the Taraia Peninsula. The shape of this object is essentially the same in both pictures, and when one object is rotated with respect to the other by the angular difference between the two photographic bearings, they appear parallel to each other.
