- 本書是一部考辨古書的學術專著集。著者是戊戌變法的主要人物，從本書中可以找到當時維新派的理論根據。本書初刻于清光緒十七年（1891），出版不久即遭清政府禁毁。1917年著者又重刻出版，并加後序。1931年該書由北平文化學社出鉛排本，加有標點和序言。此次中華書局以文化學社本做底本，依康氏兩種刻本校正，重新出版。
