- 《世本》是先秦重要的史籍之一，原本已佚，歷代學者對其作了大量的輯注工作，尤其是清代學者。1957年商務印書館將清人王謨、孫馮翼、陳其榮、秦嘉謨、張澍、雷學淇、茆泮林、王梓材等八人的《世本》輯本加以排印、校勘、彙集，整理出版了《世本八種》。此書久未重印，爲滿足讀者的需要，此次據商務印書館1957年版影印出版。
