- 《初學記》30卷，唐徐堅等撰，玄宗因皇子"欲學綴文"而指定官修的類書。全書分23部，313個子目。其體例先爲"叙事"，次爲"事對"，最後是"詩文"，與一般類書稍有差異。其書的價值前人早有定論，《四庫提要》説它"在唐人類書中，博不及《藝文類聚》，而精則勝之，若《北堂書鈔》及《六帖》，則出此書之下遠矣。"細論起來體現在三個方面：一，文學創作的工具書；二，保存了部分已經散佚的圖書資料；三，提供了部分異文，可用以校正今本古書的疑誤。此整理本以清代古香齋袖珍本爲底本，將明代桂坡館刻本、清代嚴可均與陸心源的校録本中的異文，合列于卷末爲《校勘表》，以便讀者利用。
