- 《蕅益大师全集》，共18册，235卷，釋智旭撰。智旭，字蕅益，與憨山、紫柏、蓮池大師并稱明末四大高僧。法師教宗淨土，其對律、禪、儒等，均無所不通，一生筆耕不輟，著作頗豐。全集分爲法藏指要、經釋、律釋、論釋、文集、雜著、懺儀七個大類，收録著作56種。《佛説四十二章經》屬"經釋"部分，因全經除經序外分成四十二段而得名，是佛涅槃后弟子所輯語録彙編，一般被認爲是漢地最早的譯經。蕅益大師遍注群經，此經自然是必選。
