- 《考察日本學校記》十六卷，清李宗棠編纂，《李宗棠文集》之二。李宗棠（1870-1923），字柏蔭，清廷官吏，曾在湖北、山西、安徽、江蘇等省辦理政事，以教育、留學兩方面任事爲多。他是國内較早考察日本學務的地方官員之一，本書即是他在1901年至1902年間東渡日本時考察日本學務的成果之一。書中向國人全面介紹了當時日本新式教育的狀况，對中國各地仿照日本學制興辦新式學堂發揮了重要的指導作用；此外還介紹了日本圖書館的概况、章程等，將近代圖書館學引入中國，極大地推動了中國近代教育事業的發展。本書的出版不僅有益于近代教育學的相關研究，亦對當下的教育事業有啓發和借鑒意義。
