- 本書共15卷，佚文1卷，附録3卷，是記載北宋太祖至神宗六朝舊事的筆記。本書所記以仁宗、神宗兩朝事居多，由于作者常與上層人物交往，熟知内情，所記當時歷史尤其是王安石變法，有重要參考價值，在宋人筆記中屬于史料價值較高的一種。本次點校以嘉靖本爲底本，與《稗海》《四庫全書》《説郛》諸本對校，并參校《類説》《宋朝事實類苑》等書，又從各書中輯得佚文十六條，《續東軒筆録》一條，附于書後，較爲完善。
