- 《郝懿行集》收録了清著名經學家郝懿行研治經、史、訓詁的大部分著作和詩文、筆記，共計31部。其中《荀子補注》，2卷，是郝氏于清道光四年（1824），即其辭世前一年完成的最後一部著作。是書廣采先秦兩漢魏典籍及諸家學説，摘録《荀子》中重要文句詞彙，補正文字，并加以訓詁釋義。該書自問世以來，恒爲注家采用，對此後王先謙校訂荀子産生重要影響。本次整理以《郝氏遺書》光緒七年（1881）刻本爲底本，與光緒十七年（1891）《集解》本和中國書店影印《諸子集成》第二册《集解》本所引《補注》對校，是一部較好的整理本古籍。
