- 《定湖筆談》是清中期文人、書法家黄景治以身世之所閲歷、耳目之所聞見積纍而成的筆記體著作。他見聞廣又善談，常與士大夫交游，晚年失聰，于是有心將昔日見聞思考寫成書，每寫一條就與朋友共讀，頗有以筆頭文字替代言語交談之意。書中内容廣博，範圍涉及醫藥、風水、神鬼、花鳥蟲魚、山石園囿等方方面面，意在寄托情思，勸誡人心，以正風俗教化。此書也涉及衆多黄氏聞見的人物故事，上至官吏下至百工，不乏戲謔夸談的文辭，頗有《莊子》寓言的風格。本書還得到當時名家謝蘭生、吴應逵等衆人爲序，謝蘭生高度評價了集中文章"當于人心"，"時賢争以先睹爲快"，可見本筆記之價值。
