- 本書58卷，是清代著名學者何焯闡發經義、評閲史書、闡釋詩文的一部内容豐富的讀書札記，係後人根據他生前所評閲的古籍整理彙集而成。書中經義考部分涉及四書、《詩經》等；史籍考部分廣采"春秋三傳"以下至《五代史》等書中的紀傳及其注釋；詩文評部分對詩、賦、騷、文、陶、杜、韓、柳、歐等均有專卷論釋。此次整理以光緒六年重修五十八卷本爲底本，漶漫之處依乾隆三十四年五十八卷本補足。
