- 本書共4卷，叙明、清之際史事，起崇禎甲申（1644）福王在南京建立南明政權，迄清康熙滅南明勢力，僅三十餘年。作者雜采各家野史所記，并參考王鴻緒《明史稿》中有關部分，比較系統地記録了南明史事，對于研究這一時期的歷史有一定參考價值。但作者立論與叙事完全站在清統治者的立場，并有不少失實之處。本次點校以嘉慶重刊本爲底本，用康熙本校勘，較爲完善。
