- 趙炳麟，號柏岩，民清鼎革之際著名的士大夫，政治上忠君愛國，同情維新變法，對光緒帝的開明君主專制寄予厚望，是王朝末年朝堂上清流派的健將，民國建立之後以清遺民的身分隱居不仕。有詩作《柏巖詩存》《潜并廬詩存》《潜并廬詩存初續》等傳世。本書共分九卷，以"湘潭趙啟霖署檢本"中收録的趙炳麟詩集爲底本，以《全縣縣志·藝文志》、《廣西地方通志》等文獻資料中所收録的趙炳麟詩作爲參校，比較全面地搜羅、校訂、審覈與注視了趙炳麟的重要詩作。
