- Summary:
- Letter from Abraham Jakob Mark, chief rabbi of Chernivt︠s︡i (then called Cernăuți in Romania), to Samuel Grünberg, then librarian and lecturer at the Rabbiner-Seminar zu Berlin, turning down Grünberg's offer to join the delegation for hiring of a rabbinical post in Thessalonikē, with mention of the Carlsbad Zionist Congress [of 1923] and their conjoining with the Thessalonikē community for its next rabbinical concurs. The position was not filled until February 1933 with the appointment of Zvi Koretz from the Hochschule für die Wissenschaft des Judentums, Berlin.
