- Biography/History:
- Romanian rabbi, first of Iași (known as the Admor of Iași) and later Bucharest ; author of Sefer Kokhav ha-shaḥar (Seini : Jakob Wieder, 1930).
- Summary:
- Letter to Leibisch Deligdisch, addressed to Strij in Galicia (today Stryĭ south of Lʹviv) requesting that his represented client not seek collections for a debtor (likely locally in Galicia) due to their poverty, and the requirement from the Bible to show compassion to the poor applies to this case. Deligdisch was a lawyer (mentioned in a suit brought to court in Brody, 1899 July 18, in Gazeta Lwowska, Year 89, No. 161). Addressed ("Rabiner Haim Rabinocivi, Str. de Sus, Jassi, Romania, No. 160") ; stamped ("HAIM RABINOVICI RABIN A IASI, חיים ראבינאוויטש דומ"ץ פה יאס").
